GEDmatch.Com Genetic Distance Calculation
This utility will calculate Genetic Distance between two points on a chromosome.
The recombination rate in females is about 1.7 times higher than males. When we are thinking about our unknown matches, we have no way of knowing how often the segment passed through female or male lines, so the sex-averaged rate is probably preferable for most uses.
